Heart disease brings with it a number of health limitations. However, financial security is no less pressing when a person suddenly loses their job due to illness. Many loved ones want to care for their relatives, but this often means extensive care and the inability to work full-time. Financial and other support was the focus of the September workshop “Social Assistance After Returning to Life.” During the workshop, Monika MatÄ›jková, a health and social worker at Prague’s General University Hospital, summarized the options available to patients and their loved ones.
